Product Info
An exclusive and authentic European grain sack Bolster Cushion with insert, made from handwoven hemp linen dating back to the early 1900s. It features a tie envelope closure and French seams around each end.
The Fabric was carefully sourced by our Founder in Puglia, Italy and was once hand woven using ancestral techniques. The fabric is then sewn by a local maker on the South Coast of NSW, bringing together Italian tradition and Australian craftsmanship. The product includes:
- Hemp Grain Sack Cushion
- A made to fit Australian Made Insert featuring a lofty, hypo-allergenic, polyester fill and a gusset with a luxurious cotton sateen cover. This pillow is soft and supportive and is machine washable on a gentle cycle for easy care.
- A Cotton Insert Cover featuring red stripes, locally hand made.
Measuring L 50 cm x H 20 cm (approx.)
Small imperfections are an inherent part of this handmade product. These are part of the authenticity of the product and add to their individuality and beauty.

Inside the Atelier
Puglia is at the heart of Bottega Terra. Our signature ceramic collections are made in a small studio in Southern Italy using traditional techniques passed through generations. Alongside these pieces, we also source antique Italian objects, vintage textiles and a small edit of Mediterranean artisan pieces.
The Puglian atelier continues to shape our approach: a preference for human touch, slow making and objects with character, chosen to bring a sense of place to everyday living.
